The truth, what’s good and what’s not
The hotel had beautiful grounds and we loved the ferry service to the parks , which was quite frequent. The breakfast in the club lounge was also exceptional.
Unfortunately, the hotel layout was quite confusing , making it difficult to navigate, and the food prices felt excessively high.

great staff but room issues
The staff provided exceptional service during our stay. They went out of their way to check on us and even brought us a gift to celebrate our anniversary.
We were placed in the furthest room, which made it harder to enjoy our stay.

would definitely stop here again
This hotel is pure paradise! The boat rides to Universal are quick and fun, taking about 10 minutes. The pools are awesome with a beach vibe, and the express passes make getting into the parks a breeze. The room had air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, and a mini fridge. Spa facilities included three outdoor pools, a hot tub, and sun loungers, making relaxation easy.

I enjoyed the beautiful grounds and the overall Italian theme of the hotel. The express passes made our park visits smooth, cutting down wait times significantly. The water taxi service to Universal was quick and convenient, often adding to the fun of getting to the parks. My room had a stunning view of the bay, which made our mornings feel extra special. The pools were fantastic. the beach pool, with its sand and waterslide, was perfect for relaxing after long days at the parks. Housekeeping was attentive and kept everything clean and tidy during our stay. A major highlight was the club lounge. breakfast options and evening light dinners offered great value and saved us money. However, I faced some issues with maintenance. the hot water wasn't consistent during our stay, which was frustrating when I wanted to shower after a long day. Paying full price for a room with such inconveniences felt unjust. The food prices were pretty high, so planning meals off-property could save some cash. Still, the ambiance and amenities mostly made up for these inconveniences.

Loews offers an excellent stay for business travelers. The express passes saved me significant time at the parks, allowing me to enjoy the attractions without long waits. The room was spacious and equipped with efficient work amenities. Location is ideal for access to Universal, complemented by a complimentary water taxi that made commuting very convenient. The staff provided prompt and professional service, which facilitated my business meetings effectively.
A minor inconvenience was the limited food options during off-hours.

This hotel is pure paradise! The boat rides to Universal are great and the pools are awesome. Plus, the express passes are a game changer for park visits. I loved the gorgeous views of the bay from our room, and the Italian restaurants on site serve amazing gelato! Just a tip, pack some slippers for your room stay, as they only provide robes.

The express passes are a game changer, allowing quick access to rides without the long waits. The multiple pool areas, especially the family-friendly beach pool with its water slide, provide a great way to relax after a day at the parks.
Unfortunately, our room needed updates, which was surprising given the high price tag during peak season. We had issues with cleanliness upon arrival, including a dirty bathtub and missing amenities like bathrobes. Finding our way around the property was confusing due to a lack of clear signage, which made navigating the hotel a bit challenging. Also, the high food prices at on-site restaurants kept us from enjoying more meals at the hotel, forcing us to seek cheaper options off-site instead.

Great place for family bonding!
You know what? The ambiance was fantastic! We were treated like royalty. I mean, Angel at the front desk? He pulled some strings and hooked us up with a great room overlooking the pool-talk about a nice touch, right? And the opera singers? I felt like I was living inside a movie! It's like every evening we had our own personal concert while enjoying drinks in the piazza.
But let me tell ya, it wasn't exactly cheap, ya know? Still, totally worth it!

Charming Atmosphere with Minor Hiccups
We enjoyed our stay in a lovely room with breathtaking views. The water taxi rides were a highlight, providing a unique and convenient way to travel to the parks. Be sure to plan meals, as on-site dining could be better—don’t hesitate to explore local eateries for tasty options!

While the Portofino Bay Hotel is beautifully styled and offers great amenities like express passes for the parks, the room cleanliness was a concern. Service was exceptional, and the pool area looked inviting, but the long wait times for things like water taxis made things challenging at times.
